Covid-19 message - Resumption of Scheduled First Aid Training 

First Response Australia wishes to announce the resumption of scheduled First Aid training - 'CONTACT FREE'.

  • Our class size is reduced to 12 participants, so 'physical distancing' can be maintained.
  • All tables, chairs, door handles etc. will be sanitised, prior to your arrival.
  • Continual sanitising of door handles, toilet areas etc is conducted throughout the day.
  • Each participant has their own separated desk and resuscitation manikins (both adult and infant) and AED trainer.
  • Each of the manikins have been sanitised prior to use, including the face skins (note that breathing into manikins will be simulated).
  • Ample gloves, alcohol wipes and sanitising gel are provided for your safety and convenience.
  • All First Aid supplies such as bandages, dressings etc. are new and are not re-used.
  • Full body manikins with moulage are provided for our bandaging workshops to eliminate person to person contact to comply with 'physical distancing' principles.
  • We have suspended the use of coffee and tea making facilities, again to maintain 'physical distancing'.
  • The above measures ensure that there is no need for students to have contact with each other or share equipment.
  • Our AFR program, class size is limited to 6 participants.
  • Each particpant will have their own santised full body 'Advanced Airway' manikin and infant manikin.
  • Each participant will have their own sanitised fully equipped O2 Kit and AED Trainer.
  • All other hygiene and 'physical distancing' principles as described above apply.

Entry Requirements: 

  • It is mandatory that all Knowledge (theory) Assessments be completed as pre-course. You will be provided with electronic versions of assessments/s and text book/s. Completed assessment/s must be printed out and bought to class for marking.
  • Under the current situation with COVID-19, we ask that anyone that has travelled anywhere to an interstate hotspot or overseas must not visit our training centre for at least 14 days of self isolation after return to Queensland/Australia. In addition to this, we will comply with any future government advice.
  • Anyone who has been in close contact with someone (such as a family member) who has been to an interstate hotspot or overseas, should not visit our training centre for 14 days. We also advise that those who have someone self isolating in their household that they too should defer attendance to FRA classes.
  • Any student who is unwell on the day of attendance must defer to another date.
  • Any student presenting as unwell or with flu like symptoms will be denied entry to the class and will be deferred to a later date.

Note: Where our clients' contemplate on-site training, a risk analysis will be conducted to ensure that the health and well being of our staff and participants is assured.
