Course Overview
This course is designed for participants wishing to attain a qualification as a First Responder enabling them to use:
Supraglottic Airways in Resuscitation
Automated External Defibrillators
Oxygen Resuscitation / Therapy Equipment
Suction Equipment
Tourniquets
that may be accessible in their workplace or in a public access area.
Duration: 1 Day (8:00am - 5:00pm)
Mode of Delivery: Face to face in the classroom (9 hours)
Reasonable Adjustment: FRA supports learners with recognised disabilities and makes adjustments, where possible, according to each individuals need. The level of adjustment required is determined on a case by case basis between FRA and the learner with a disability. FRA ensures any reasonable adjustment does not compromise the integrity of the competency standards.
Assessment Will Include: Written/Oral Questions, Practical Assessments & Scenario Based Assessments.
Includes: Text , Workbook, Statement of Attainment (electronic).

Requirements
Entry Requirements: HLTAID011 Provide first aid. You must have currency in this unit and evidence provided to First Response Australia prior to commencement of this program.
USI: A USI (Unique Student Identifier) number is required for all accredited training in Australia. If you do not provide a USI number we may not be able to issue a Certificate/Statement of Attainment upon successful completion of training.

Physical Requirements: A level of fitness and stamina is required to complete the CPR practical assessment by spending extended periods of time on your knees at floor level.
Dress Code: Please wear closed in shoes and comfortable clothing to enable you to kneel down on the floor for extended periods of time.
